Synopsis
Mouna Geethangal is a 1981 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy drama film written and directed by K. Bhagyaraj.
The main cast includes Bhagyaraj himself in the lead role alongside Saritha, with S. Krishnamoorthy and Master Suresh providing support.
Produced under Bhagavathi Creations by K. Gobinathan, the film features cinematography by B. S. Basaviraj and editing by T. Rajasekhar, with music composed by Gangai Amaran.
The story draws inspiration from Jayakanthan's short story "Unmai Sudum" and Bhagyaraj's own personal experiences, revolving around a man attempting to reconcile with his estranged ex-wife after five years.
Mouna Geethangal was released on 23 January 1981 and became a commercial success, running for over 25 weeks in theatres. The film has been remade into several other Indian languages, including the Hindi version "Ek Hi Bhool" and the Telugu version "Sathyabhama".
