
Meendum Savithri is a 1996 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Visu and produced by Nagi Reddi.
The film stars Revathi as Manju, an outspoken woman who works in a small company and lives with her father Narayana Moorthy (Visu). Manju comes across an innovative advertisement for a groom looking for a bride without dowries, which leads to her meeting Vasudevan (Raja), whom she eventually marries.
The story explores the complexities of Manju and Vasudevan's marriage, revealing that Vasudevan's family was acting in their roles, while hiding a truth about his previous marriage. The film also features Saranya Ponvannan as Uma, Vasudevan's already married wife.
Meendum Savithri was released on 9 February 1996 and is based on Visu's novel of the same name, which was serialised in Ananda Vikatan. The film was simultaneously made in Telugu as Neti Savithri with Gollapudi Maruti Rao replacing Visu.
The cast also includes Ramesh Aravind, Nagesh, Jai Ganesh, Annapurna, Seetha, and Pandu in supporting roles. The film was directed by Visu and produced by Nagi Reddi.
