Synopsis
Mayor Meenakshi is a 1976 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Madurai Thirumaran.
The film stars K. R. Vijaya as the title character, Meenakshi, who rises from an ordinary housewife to become mayor and faces trials and tribulations in maintaining a balance at work and at home.
Jaishankar, V. K. Ramasamy, Cho. Vijayakumar, and Sripriya make cameo appearances in the film.
The story was written by Suki Subramaniyam, with music composed by M. S. Viswanathan.
The film was released on May 28, 1976, with some scenes shot at Kashmir.
