Synopsis
Mathapoo is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Nagaraj.
The film stars newcomer Jayan and Gayathrie as the main characters. Karthick falls in love with Pooja, who always remains aloof and turns down his proposal. He sets out to discover the reason behind her sadness and subsequently win her heart.
The cast also includes Velayudham, who composed the music for the film. The soundtrack was launched on 24 April 2013 after being postponed from December 2012. Music duo Sabesh–Murali composed the background score for the film.
The film was shot in sixty days and finalized after eight to nine months of production. Jayan, a graduate of DG Vaishnav College, made his acting debut with this film. Gayathrie of 18 Vayasu and Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom fame was signed as the main female actress.
