Synopsis
Marupakkam is a 1991 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by K. S. Sethumadhavan.

Based on the Tamil novella Uchi Veyyil by Indira Parthasarathy, the story follows Ambi as he travels to his ancestral home in Kumbakonam upon receiving news of a stroke affecting his father, Vembu Iyer.
Ambi arrives feeling guilty about past family conflicts stemming from his marriage to Sweetie without his orthodox Brahmin parents' consent. The film explores themes of reconciliation and forgiveness within the family.
