Synopsis
Markandeyan is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language film directed by FEFSI Vijayan.
The film stars Shabarish, Savika Chaiyadej (Pinky), Nivedhitha, and Santhanam in lead roles.
The movie follows the story of Vittal, a milk vendor who adopts orphans and trains them to become criminals. When one of his adopted sons, Mark, falls in love with Divya, he wants to put an end to it.
The film score is composed by Sundar C Babu, while cinematography is handled by D. Sasikumar and Santtonio. Editing is done by Raja Mohammed.
Shabarish trained for a year in Thai boxing before starring in the film. The movie's audio launch featured Salman Khan, Vijay, and Shriya Saran.
The film received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising the director's effort in the first half but criticizing the second half for lacking engagement.
