Synopsis
Maappillai is a 1952 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by T. R. Raghunath and written by V. N. Sambandam.
The story follows an office boy who achieves significant wealth through a rags-to-riches scenario, leading to conflict with the son of his former boss.
Produced by National Productions, the film features a notable cast including T. R. Ramachandran as the protagonist (the office boy), P. K. Saraswathi as Nalini, and T. K. Ramachandran portraying the antagonist (the printing-press head's son).
Other key actors are P. V. Narasimha Bharathi as Kumar, Kaka Radhakrishnan as the doctor, and M. N. Rajam as the nurse.
