Mannan is a 1992 Indian Tamil-language masala film directed by P. Vasu and starring Rajinikanth, Vijayashanti, and Khushbu.
The film is a remake of the 1986 Kannada film Anuraga Aralithu. It tells the story of V. Shanthi Devi, a wealthy and arrogant industrialist who rules her company with an iron fist. She meets Krishnan, a kind-hearted mechanic, at the airport, and their first meeting ends on a bitter note.
Krishnan decides to stay in Madras to care for his ailing mother, and Shanthi Devi forms a plan to marry him and spoil his life. The film follows the series of events that unfolds as a result of this plan.
Mannan was released on January 15, 1992, and ran for over 25 weeks in theatres.
