Mannadhi Mannan is a 1960 Indian Tamil-language historical action film directed and produced by M. Natesan.
The movie features the popular trio of M. G. Ramachandran, Anjali Devi, and Padmini in its lead roles.
The plot revolves around dancer Chitra falling in love with Prince Manivannan from Uraiyur, but facing opposition when the Chola King Kanikannan also harbours feelings for her.
Complicating matters is a political marriage proposal arranged by Manivannan's father, the Cheran King, which faces opposition when the Chola King insults the lineage of Manivannan's mother.
Fueled by this insult, Prince Manivannan abducts Karpagavalli from the Karigala kingdom to appease his father.
In a twist orchestrated by Kanikannan himself, the prince ends up marrying Karpagavalli under duress.
The film was released on 19 October 1960, during Diwali, and stars M. G. Ramachandran, Anjali Devi, and Padmini.
The music for the film was composed by Viswa.
