Manmadhan Ambu is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by K. S. Ravikumar and written by Kamal Haasan.
The film stars Kamal Haasan, Trisha, and R. Madhavan in the title roles, alongside Sangeetha, Mohan Das, Manju Pillai, Usha Uthup, Urvashi, and Ramesh Arvind in supporting roles. Caroline and Oviya make cameo appearances.
The movie features music composed by Devi Sri Prasad, with several songs written and sung by Kamal Haasan himself.
Manmadhan Ambu is based on the 1948 movie Romance on the High Seas and was produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin. The film was extensively shot in Europe and on a cruise ship, as well as across Chennai and Kodaikanal.
The story follows Madhan, who suspects his love interest Ambujakshi of infidelity, leading him to hire a private detective to spy on her while she enjoys her vacation abroad. Meanwhile, Deepa also travels to Paris with her children, setting off a series of hilarious events.
