Synopsis
Manjal Nila is a 1982 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by R. Renjith Kumar and produced by Kallakudi Manikkam, Chandran.
The film stars Suresh and Kalaranjini in the lead roles, with musical score provided by Ilayaraaja.
The story revolves around Anand and Vasantha, new students at a film institute who develop a close relationship despite opposition from other students and lecturers. Vasantha is hesitant to let their connection deepen due to her complicated past.
Gopi, the editing professor, attempts to exploit Vasantha but is caught by the principal and subsequently fired. He harbours resentment and informs Vasantha's mother about their relationship, leading her to intervene strongly against Anand.
The film was released on 23 July 1982.
