Mangalyam is a 1954 Indian Tamil-language film directed by K. Somu.
The screenplay was written by A. P. Nagarajan, who also starred in the lead role under the credit "Naalvar Nagarajan," co-starring with B. S. Saroja.
Produced by M. A. Venu under his banner M. A. V. Pictures, the film was made at Central Studios Coimbatore.
The soundtrack features music composed by K. V. Mahadevan.
In the plot, a young doctor named Kumar falls in love with Selvathaal, a housemaid. His mother opposes their relationship and forces her to leave. Meanwhile, Kumar's sister develops feelings for his friend Gopi. Selvathaal reinvents herself as an actor named Manorama. Kumar and Gopi search for her, but she is kidnapped by another individual seeking the actress.
