Synopsis
Manathil Urudhi Vendum is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by K. Balachander.
The film stars Suhasini, with Sridhar and Chandrakanth in supporting roles.
Released on October 21, 1987, the movie tells the story of Nandini, a dedicated nurse who becomes friends with Sundari after sharing an auto ride. Together, they manage their house through letter communication after a thief is caught trying to steal from them.
Nandini's kindness and generosity are showcased as she saves a woman attempting suicide and helps her find solace in movies. She also gives a lecture on earning and self-worth to the thief, teaching him to work hard and earn his keep.
