Manamalai is a 1958 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Chitrapu Narayana Rao and written by Vindhan. The film is based on the 1914 novel Parineeta by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay.
The movie stars Gemini Ganesan and Savitri in the lead roles, with Shekhar and Lalitha being lovers whose romance is interrupted by Kumar, a wealthy young man. The film was produced by Sriram under Janatha Pictures and features a soundtrack composed by Vedha, with lyrics penned by Gopalakrishna Bharati, Saravanabavanandhar, Lakshmanadass, Villiputhan, and A. Maruthakasi.
Manamalai was released on 14 February 1958 but failed commercially upon its release. The film also stars Chandrababu, V. Nagayya, D. Balasubramaniam, Girija, and M. Mynavathi in supporting roles.
