Mamiyar Mechiya Marumagal is an Indian Tamil-language film produced by AVM Productions and released on 23 January 1959.

It is a remake of the Marathi film 'Ganget Ghode Nhahale' (1955).
In the story, an affluent woman without biological children raises her nephew as her son and desires him to marry someone suitable for giving her grandchildren. However, he falls in love with M. N. Rajam's character from a poor background.
When they defy Varalakshmi's wishes and get married, she throws them out of her mansion. The plot follows their journey as they build a life together, eventually winning over the affection of Varalakshmi and creating a happy family unit.
