Mambattiyan

Mambattiyan is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language vigilante film directed by Thiagarajan and starring Prashanth as the title character.

The film is a remake of the 1983 Tamil film Malaiyoor Mambattiyan, also starring Thiagarajan. The story follows Annachchi (Kota Srinivasa Rao), a landlord who rules a village in western Tamil Nadu, and his son Mambattiyan (Prashanth). After Annachchi's father is killed by the landlord, Mambattiyan seeks revenge and becomes a vigilante, robbing from the rich and giving to the poor.

The film also stars Meera Jasmine, Prakash Raj, Vadivelu, and Mumaith Khan in pivotal roles. It was released on December 16, 2011.
