Madurai Veeran is a 1956 Indian Tamil-language historical action film directed by D. Yoganand and written by Kannadasan.
The film stars M. G. Ramachandran as the eponymous hero, with P. Bhanumathi and Padmini portraying his love interests. Notable supporting actors include T. S. Balaiah, N. S. Krishnan, and T. A. Mathuram.
The story follows Veeran, a man born to the chieftain of Varanavasi with an unlucky mark foretelling doom for the state. Following astrologer's dictates, the infant is abandoned. The film tells the tale of Veeran's fight for his love and his quest for justice.
