Machi

Machi is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by K. S. Vasantha Kumar.

The film stars Dushyanth and Shubha Poonja, with Pasupathy, Bhanu Chander, Sulakshana, S. R. Prakash, Sathish, Ranjan, and V. Sankar playing supporting roles.

Released on 25 June 2004, the movie follows Karthik, a rich spoiled brat from Mumbai who is forced to enroll in a medical college in Coimbatore after his father tires of seeing him drink every night.

In Coimbatore, Karthik befriends four classmates: Pandi, Babu, Vasu, and Moses, but makes fun of their looks and social status. The film takes a dramatic turn when Karthik is struck by a lorry while drunk.
