Synopsis
Maayan is a 2001 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Nassar.
The film stars Nassar, Roja, and Vindhya, alongside an ensemble cast including Thalaivasal Vijay, Ranjitha, and Vadivelu.
The music for the film was composed by Deva and it was released on 14 September 2001.
Nassar had initially planned to direct the film alone, but after his initial lead actor choices pulled out, he decided to also portray the lead role. This change led to a one-year delay in production, which began in early 1999.
The film marked the comeback of actress Ranjitha to acting after a three-year sabbatical following her marriage, as well as Pasupathy's first major role.
