Synopsis
Maanasamrakshanam is a 1945 Indian Tamil-language film produced and directed by K. Subramaniam.
The film stars S. D. Subbulakshmi, G. Pattu Iyer, V. N. Janaki, T. R. Ramachandran, and Kali N. Rathnam.
Set against the backdrop of World War II, when Japan invaded Burma in 1941, the film depicts hardships faced by Indians residing there during the Japanese occupation.
A central character establishes an organization named Maanasamrakshanam in India to care for lost children among migrants. She participates in nationalistic activities that clash with a villain's anti-national efforts.
The heroine also confronts relatives who misuse or misappropriate her wealth.
