Lottery Ticket is an Indian Tamil-language film released in 1982, directed by uncredited and starring Prabhu, Mohan, Suhasini, and Silk Smita.
The film tells the story of middle-class characters Mohan and Suhasini who fall in love despite some initial misunderstandings. At a drinks party hosted by Mohan's friend, Suhasini mistakenly interprets the situation regarding Mohan and actress Silk Smita, leading to confusion.
Mohan gives Suhasini a lottery ticket worth over 10 Lakhs, which she claims as her own when it comes time to claim the prize. This fabrication causes significant problems between them. In response, Mohan buys a life insurance policy for 10 Lakhs and considers suicide. He hires Prabhu to be a contract killer, but discovers that Prabhu is actually Suhasini's long-lost husband.
The film follows these characters through escalating confusion and comedic situations typical of its era, shot in Chennai during the early 80s.
