Synopsis
Lawyer Suhasini is a 1987 Indian Telugu-language legal drama film directed by Vamsy and released on March 6, 1987.
The film stars Bhanu Chander as Shankar, Suhasini, and Rajendra Prasad. The music was composed by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam.
Suhasini plays a poor woman who studies for a law degree using her elder sister's savings. She prepares to marry an older man in the hope of receiving 10,000 rupees from him. Lawyer Shankar arrives and finds her self-respect admirable; he then marries Suhasini out of humanitarian motives.
The character of Shankar's mother Lakshmi is extremely money-minded and opposes their marriage due to its lack of financial benefit for her son. The character of the father is mentioned as irresponsible, being a drunkard.
