Kuzhandhai Ullam is a 1969 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed, produced and written by Savitri.
The film stars Gemini Ganesan in the lead role, alongside Sowcar Janaki and Vanisri among others.
It serves as a remake of Savitri's own critically acclaimed but commercially unsuccessful Telugu film from the previous year, "Chinnari Papalu".
The plot revolves around a wealthy painter who falls in love with a tribal girl while in the forest. He spends a night with her blissfully unaware that he has married her. Subsequently, feeling obligated to satisfy his mother's expectations, he is forced into marrying a city girl. His deep emotional attachment to the first girl persists despite this separation.
Ultimately, their broken hearts are reconciled through two children they have together.
The film was released on 14 January 1969 and became an average success.
