Kumara Sambhavam is a 1969 Indian Malayalam-language Hindu mythological film directed and produced by P. Subramaniam.
The film stars Gemini Ganesan, Padmini, Srividya, and Thikkurissy Sukumaran Nair, and won the first ever Kerala State Film Award for Best Film.
It is regarded as a landmark in the history of Malayalam cinema, standing apart in technical quality from previous films. The film also marked Sridevi's first Malayalam film.
The soundtrack was written by Vayalar Rama Varma and ONV Kurup, set to tune by Devarajan, with most songs based on classical ragas.
