Kulama Gunama is a 1971 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by K. S. Gopalakrishnan and produced by M. Aasam.
The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Jaishankar, Padmini, and Vanisri in its lead roles.
The movie is a remake of the 1968 Telugu-language film Thalli Prema.
Plot elements include Chinnathambi, a highly respected village man who neglects his wife Seetha due to his tireless societal work. His childless wife adds personal stakes to the story. Raja, Chinnathambi's younger brother, is involved romantically with Lalitha, daughter of Nambiar. The owner of the only grocery store in the village, Nambiar, is revealed to adulterate products and sell them at inflated prices, forcing villagers to purchase from him despite his unethical practices.
Following this conflict arises after Chinnathambi establishes a cooperative-owned grocery shop.
The film was released on March 26, 1971.
