Kudumba Thalaivan is a 1962 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by M. A. Thirumugam and produced by Sandow M. M. Chinnappa Thevar.
The film stars M. G. Ramachandran, M. R. Radha, B. Saroja Devi, and S. A. Ashokan in the lead roles, with a musical score composed by K. V. Mahadevan.
The story centers around a wealthy family patriarch named Velayudam Pilai who spends much time playing poker and relies heavily on his elder son Somu for household responsibilities. The younger son Vasu is an accomplished sportsman with no obstacles in life. When Seeta, the daughter of Ponnusamy, the driver, arrives at their home, both sons develop feelings for her.
The film was released on 15 August 1962 and became a big hit at the box office, running for over 100 days in theatres.
