Synopsis
Krishnaveni Panjaalai is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language romance film directed by debutant Dhanapal Padmanabhan.
The story is set in the backdrop of the 1980s and revolves around the lives of cotton mill workers in Udumalaipettai, Tamil Nadu. The plot follows Kadir and Poonkothai, two cotton mill workers whose affection grows into love, but their lives become hard after the mill closes down following a strike.
The film features Hemachandran, Nandana, M. S. Bhaskar, Rajiv Krishna, and Bala Singh in lead roles. The music for the film was composed by N. R. Raghunanthan.
