Koondukkili is a 1954 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed and co-produced by T. R. Ramanna.
The movie stars M. G. Ramachandran, Sivaji Ganesan, and B. S. Saroja in its lead roles.
Thangaraj and Jeeva are friends; Thangaraj is married to Mangala with whom he has a son. Thangaraj goes to jail for a crime committed by Jeeva, leaving Mangala destitute without money or home.
Jeeva attempts to help her but harbours sinister intentions regarding their relationship. Despite repeated refusals from Mangala, Jeeva becomes increasingly taunting towards her.
Meanwhile, Sokki is in love with Jeeva. During a conflict involving Jeeva's attempt on Mangala, he is struck by lightning and loses his eyesight. Thangaraj, now released from prison, helps Mangala escape Jeeva's clutches.
The film was released on 26 August 1954 and although it was a commercial failure, it gained historical reputation over time due to its unique cast of M. G. Ramachandran and Sivaji Ganesan acting together.
