Synopsis
Kizhakku Vasal is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed and co-written by R. V. Udayakumar.
The film stars Karthik, Revathi, and Khushbu, and was released on July 12, 1990.
The movie ran for over 175 days in theatres before being remade in other languages, including Hindi as Mere Sajana Saath Nibhana and Kannada as Sindhoora Thilaka, in 1992 and 1995 respectively.
The plot revolves around Ponnurangam, a folk singer who falls for Selvi, the daughter of Valliyuran, a rich headman. Despite their social differences, they try to be together despite the opposition from Valliyuran and his men.
