Kavalukku Kettikaran is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Santhana Bharathi and written by M. Karunanidhi. The film stars Prabhu and Nirosha.
The movie is a remake of the 1986 Malayalam film Nandi Veendum Varika. It tells the story of Panjavarnam, a retired police constable who wants his son Dilipan to become a police officer. After some setbacks, Dilipan becomes a sub-inspector and saves Arivukodi's father from a corrupt politician named Balayya.
Arivukodi falls in love with Dilipan, but their relationship is complicated by her father's past connection to Balayya. The film follows the story of Dilipan and Arivukodi as they navigate their personal and professional lives amidst the backdrop of corruption and crime in a small village.
The film was released on 14 January 1990.
