Synopsis
Karnaa is a 1995 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Selva.
The film stars Arjun Sarja in a dual role, alongside Ranjitha and Vineetha.
It was released on 14 April 1995 and became a box office success.
Vijay is a carefree youth sent to Ooty by his father ACP Deenadayalan to work and become a responsible businessman. He falls in love with college student Anjali, whose brothers are dangerous criminals opposed to their love due to Vijay's father being a cop.
Devaraj is sent to prison for his brother to appoint the lawyer Karnaa, who is disabled and identical to Vijay. Karnaa later falls in love with school teacher Amudha after quarrels between them.
Karnaa discovers he is Deenadayalan's long-lost twin son, abandoned as a baby due to his disability. Determined to win the case, Karnaa wins Devaraj's release and helps Vijay escape from jail.
However, Devaraj's goons kidnap Karnaa's adopted mother and Amudha, prompting Vijay and Karnaa to rescue them and send Devaraj back to jail.
