Kannan Oru Kai Kuzhandhai is a 1978 Indian Tamil-language film directed by N. Venkatesh and produced by Tirupur Mani.
The film stars Sivakumar and Sumithra in the lead roles, with Sathyaraj making his debut acting role as well as serving as production manager.
The plot revolves around Kannan, an educated man who joins a radio shop where Vasantha works as a typist. To secure accommodation in the building where Vasanthaa lives, he lies about having a widowed mother. When confronted, he brings Vasu's mother, a shady character, to pretend she is his real one.
Ultimately, this leads to Vasu's mother sacrificing herself to save Kannan and, as part of the resolution, unites with him.
The film was released on 8 September 1978 and did not do well at the box-office. It marked a notable debut for Sathyaraj in acting and his first role as production manager.
