Kandukondain Kandukondain is an Indian Tamil-language romantic musical film directed and co-written by Rajiv Menon, released in 2000.
The film is an adaptation of Jane Austen's novel "Sense and Sensibility", focusing on two sisters of opposing temperaments.
Starring Mammootty, Ajith Kumar, Tabu, Aishwarya Rai, and Abbas, the ensemble cast also includes veterans Manivannan, Srividya, and Raghuvaran in supporting roles.
The film's soundtrack was scored by A. R. Rahman, with cinematography handled by Ravi K. Chandran.
After several delays, the film opened to Tamil Nadu audiences on 5 May 2000 and achieved commercial success.
A subtitled version of the film was released worldwide, and it won a National Film Award and two Filmfare Awards South.
The film also premiered at international film festivals and was dubbed and released in Telugu as Priyuralu Pilichindi.
