Kaalam Mari Pochu is a 1956 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Tapi Chanakya.
The film stars Gemini Ganesan and Anjali Devi in its cast, with entirely new actors compared to the original Telugu version.
The story centers on social and economic issues affecting rural farmers, interwoven with a love narrative. A cunning money lender swindles poor farmers out of their land after lending them money. The uneducated farmers are easily exploited due to their lack of knowledge. However, the son of one farmer, who becomes educated, exposes the truth about the moneylender and successfully helps his father reclaim their stolen property in front of a District Collector.
The film was originally produced in Telugu with the title Rojulu Marayi by C. V. R. Prasath and directed by Tapi Chanakya. The Tamil version features new dialogues, songs, and a new cast.
The film was released on 4 May 1956.
