Justice Gopinath is a 1978 Indian Tamil-language film directed by D. Yoganand.
The story revolves around Justice Gopinath, a man known for his strict adherence to law and honesty, whose wife Radha suffers a stillbirth. Concurrently, he presides over the case of Murugan, who is falsely accused and convicted of assault and battery on false evidence.
Following Murugan's imprisonment (where his wife tragically commits suicide), Gopinath becomes foster parent to their orphaned infant son, Ravi. Raised as a member of the Gopinath family, Ravi grows up unaware of his true origins until he becomes a lawyer himself and falls in love.
The plot continues with Murugan being released from prison and seeking his son, while Radha pleads for him not to reveal Ravi's identity. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, K. R. Vijaya, Rajinikanth, and Sumithra.
Released on 16 December 1978, the film became a box office failure.
