
Jaganmohini is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language historical horror film directed by N. K. Viswanathan.
The film stars Raja, Namitha, and Meera Chopra, credited as Nila, in the story of Prince Jagathalapradhapan who falls in love with Mohini from the local fishing community on an island.
After capturing the head of sea pirates Alai Kallan, Jagathalapradhapan promises Mohini that he will bring his parents to arrange for their wedding. However, the king and his wife hatch a conspiracy to kill Mohini, but her spirit returns, preventing the planned murder.
The story takes a turn when Mohini's spirit wants to reunite with Jagathalapradhapan in heaven, but instead, she gets her soul inserted into Azhagu Nachiyar's body as an alternative. The film ends with Jagathalapradhapan and Azhagu Nachiyar happily ruling the kingdom.
