Iru Sahodarargal is a 1936 Tamil-language drama film directed by Ellis R. Dungan.
The film features M.G. Ramachandran and K.P. Kesavan in the lead roles as Vijayakumar and Sukumar, two brothers whose financial struggles lead to a rift within their joint family.
The story follows Sukumar's journey to Madras for work, where he achieves fame as an actor and sends money back home to support his family. However, this financial aid is misappropriated by Vijayakumar and his wife, leading to a significant division of the family.
As the narrative concludes, Vijayakumar and his wife experience remorse for their actions, resulting in their reconciliation and the reunification of the family.
The film is considered one of Dungan's most successful works at that time and was among the earliest Tamil films to depict contemporary social issues.
