Iru Sagodharigal is a 1957 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Vedantam Raghavayya.
The story revolves around two sisters, Saroja and Lalitha, who are constantly at odds with each other. Their mother falls ill and dies due to her inability to resolve their conflicts.
Enter Pancharatna Bhagavathar, a dance and music teacher who takes them under his wing. He arranges for Lalitha to continue her education in Chennai and secures Saroja a position at the household of Bhoopathiya Pillai.
Saroja becomes attracted to Doctor Sundaram, the son of Bhoopathiya Pillai, but talks him out of leaving home due to mistreatment by his stepmother. Meanwhile, Lalitha faces difficulties after losing her money while studying in Chennai and receives help from Vasudevan, who later abandons her.
The narrative concludes with Lalitha returning to her hometown following a difficult experience.
