Indru Nee Nalai Naan is a 1983 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Major Sundarrajan.
The story revolves around Pazhaniappan, an orphan raised in Marudhachalam's household from childhood, who becomes the village president and dreams of achieving success in politics. Papathi, whose difficult situation due to her mother being a concubine makes finding a suitable groom challenging, is also a key character.
The film explores themes of politics, social change, and arranged marriage within its community setting. Pazhani suggests that Marudu (the name for Pazhanan) marry Papathi because he rejects caste barriers and leads social reforms in the village.
The movie stars Sivakumar, Jaishankar, Lakshmi, and Sulakshana, and is based on the novel Thookku Mara Nizhalil by C. A. Balan. It was released on 12 August 1983.
