The plot revolves around their childhood friendship that blossoms into romance, but is threatened when the reigning queen plans to marry her daughter to a prince. The lovers elope during the night, leading to a massive hunt for them.
A wily magician captures the minister's son using his tricks, but an old lady intervenes and transforms him into a parrot. The escaped parrot finds refuge with the palace dancer.
The film concludes with the union of the two lovers after numerous twists and turns.
