Synopsis
Ilavattam is a 2006 Indian Telugu-language film directed by A. R. Rajaraja.
The movie stars Navdeep and Sheela Kaur in lead roles, with its theme revolving around adolescent dreams and desires.
The story begins in college, where the district collector awards Srinivas alias Cheenu for his success story, highlighting his honest and studious nature despite coming from a poor farmer's family.
Cheenu befriends Lakshmi, the second daughter of a Zamindar from the same village, who studies at the same college. Despite their initial animosity, they eventually fall in love after a series of melodramatic events.
The film was dubbed in Tamil with some reshot scenes and features a plot involving Lakshmi's brother-in-law trying to inherit her family's fortune by marrying both her and another woman.
