Idhu Nijama is a 1948 Tamil-language thriller film directed by Krishna Gopal and produced by S. Soundararajan Ayyengar.
The screenplay was written by S. Balachander, with dialogue credited to V. Seetharaman. The music contributed significantly to the film's appeal.
Sarojini and Kumari N. Rajam starred as leads, while S. Balachander played a role involving twins. Supporting roles were portrayed by V. Seetharaman, Manuel, Pattammal, and A. S. Nagarajan.
The movie was inspired by the 1945 American classic Wonder Man, which itself reworked Arthur Sheekman's story into its screenplay directed by H. Bruce Humbers. Decades later, Kamal Haasan's character Kalyanaraman in his film would draw heavily from this inspiration.
Idhu Nijama was released successfully and ran well in many centres upon its release.
