Grihapravesam is a 1976 Indian Tamil-language drama film co-produced and directed by D. Yoganand.
The film stars Sivaji Ganesan and K. R. Vijaya in the lead roles, with Sivakumar and Jaya also part of the cast.
The plot centers on Raju and Lakshmi living with their brother Ravi. They have sacrificed for Raju's success but remain childless. Ravi returns home after his education, bringing Uma as her lover. Initially hesitant, they accept Uma when they see she is from a wealthy family.
The central conflict arises upon discovering Uma has bipolar disorder, swinging between extremes, and the story follows how the family handles this situation without disintegrating.
