Giri is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film directed and co-written by Sundar C.
The film stars Arjun Sarja, Ramya, and Reema Sen, with Devayani, Vadivelu, and Prakash Raj in supporting roles.
The movie follows the story of Giri, who protects his best friend's widow and her children from a group of criminal outlaws who have murdered their father.
The plot revolves around the personal enmity between the headmen of two feuding villages, Veerasamy and Sethupathy, which leads to a series of events that ultimately involves Giri's heroics in saving one of the victims' son from death.
Giri was released on October 1, 2004, and became a profitable venture at the box office. The film was remade in Kannada in 2020 as Shivarjuna starring Arjun's nephew Chiranjeevi Sarja, and it also marked actress Khushbu's productional debut in her production company house Avni Cinemax.
The film was dubbed into Telugu under the same name, Giri.
