Gangavathar is a 1942 Indian Tamil-language Hindu mythological film directed by C. K. Sathasivam and produced by Sundaram Sound Studio in Chennai.
The movie stars N.C. Vasanthakokilam and tells the story of the descent of the goddess Ganga to Earth, a significant event in Hindu beliefs.
It features a soundtrack with several songs sung by N.C. Vasanthakokilam, including "Paanganacholai Alangkaaram", "Kalaivaani AruL Purivaai", and others.
