Ganga Gowri is a 1973 Indian Tamil-language Hindu mythological film directed and produced by B. R. Panthulu.
The movie stars Gemini Ganesan and Jayalalithaa, with Jayanthi also part of the main cast. The music was composed by M. S. Viswanathan.
Ganesan took dancing lessons to portray Shiva in the film. The soundtrack features songs set to various raga styles, including Bageshri, Carnatic Amritavarshini, Hindustani Ahir Bhairav, and Sahana.
The film was shot at Premier Studio, Mysore, and was released on 16 January 1973. It is a remake of Panthulu's own 1967 Kannada film Gange Gowri, which emerged as a commercial success.
