
Five Star is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language coming-of-age film directed by Susi Ganesan in his debut and produced by Madras Talkies.
The film stars newcomers Prasanna, Kanika, Krishna, Sandhya, Mangai, and Karthik as five friends - Prabhu, Elango, Sundar, Indra, and Priya - at the Madras Institute of Technology.
The story follows their friendship and dream to work together after graduation. However, when Elango is forced into marriage with his cousin Eshwari by his father, it causes tension among the friends.
Despite this, they manage to reunite and find Elango's wife, who becomes an integral part of their group. The film explores themes of friendship, loyalty, and love as the five friends navigate their careers and personal lives together.
The movie was later remade in Telugu as Life Style (2009).
