Synopsis
Ezhumalai is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Arjun, who also plays the title character. The film features an ensemble cast of Simran, Gajala, Mumtaj, Vijayakumar and Ashish Vidyarthi.
The movie is a remake of the Telugu film Narasimha Naidu (2001) and was released on June 21, 2002. It became a commercial success and was dubbed into Telugu as Simha Baludu.
The plot revolves around a feud between two neighbouring villages, with Venkatachalam and Kalingarayan being rivals. The story follows the journey of Ezhumalai, a dance master who falls in love with Anjali, unaware that he is a widower with a son. However, their happiness is short-lived as they discover that Nagalingam, Anjali's father, is a sworn enemy of Ezhumalai.
