Enga Chinna Rasa is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language drama film written, directed by, and starring K. Bhagyaraj.
The story was inspired by the Kannada novel Ardhaangi by B. Puttaswamayya and follows Chinnarasu's life in Mettupatti village after his father remarries Nagamani, a stepmother with ulterior motives.
Nagamani manipulates young Chinnarasu into abandoning his education and gains his trust, gradually influencing him to obey her instructions. As Chinnarasu matures into a principled young man, he implicitly follows Nagamani's lead despite being unaware of the true nature of their relationship.
The film was released on 17 June 1987 and was remade in Telugu as Abbayigaru, in Hindi as Beta, and in Kannada as Annayya.
