En Thangai is a 1952 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Ch. Narayana Murthy and starring M. G. Ramachandran alongside E. V. Saroja.
The family's breadwinner, Rajendran, cares for his younger brother Selvam, their young sister Meena, and their critically ill mother Gunavathi after a misfortune involving their uncle, Karunagaran Pillai, who steals their fortune following the patriarch's disappearance.
Despite this loss, Rajendran faces financial requests from his uncle, who refuses help. Meanwhile, Suriyamoorthy, Karunagaran's son, quietly supports Rajendran and his family.
The plot unfolds during a violent thunderstorm when young Meena loses her eyesight.
